Rockstarism #262 – Mario Bros Is SO Not Real

#262 (Should've been posted yest but having problems uploading pics...) On Sunday afternoon, sitting next to me Rockstar looks up abruptly from McQueen Legos...  Rockstar: <urgently> Mum! I need to get the laptop so you can learn about Mario Bros! There's things you need to know about the game! Me: N-ice try. Rockstar: Hee hee yeah I think so. Later in the evening... Rockstar: This Mario Bros is so, soooo fiction. Not fact. Tsk! Me: Why? Rockstar: Look at this guy. He's swimming in the water and he's surrounded by... fireballs! That is so not real!   Me: You thought the giant mushrooms and being chased by pink snails was real? Rockstar: But- but- this is so not real! It's fireballs. In water. You can still have mushrooms and snails.
To the tune of the Mario Bros theme song...

To the tune of the Mario Bros theme song.

Skip on the rocks, collect Starbucks latte and strawberry scone, avoid maniacally waving monster baby, Rockstar's the proverbial "boss villain" at the end of the game stage...

About Aileen

I blog about living and raising my son in Hong Kong - where toddlers have entrance interviews, parents keep test score spreadsheets, private school debentures can trade for more than half a million USD. Raising Rockstar's the most important thing I'll ever do. We show our true colors by the choices we make in bringing up our children. My blog is a message to my toddler son, about what the world and his parents are like today - for when he becomes a teenager and knows everything.

    Aha! This mommy is trick-proof!

Miss Rockstar looks so happy in the photo above. Can she move easily from one rock to another?

Yeah I think so, will put up some videos in a bit, just that every little clip takes so long and the wifi keeps dying; we call PCCW about it a lot… She can cruise relatively comfortably but she lacks confidence on hard floors (I think really hates even falling on her bottom) so she crawls til she gets something to hang on to… She can also get up on her two feet unaided (and without holding anything, but I don’t think she’s taken a step without holding anything yet)…
