Me: How was your day, darling?
Rockstar: We answered lots of questions in ICT! (Computer lab time)
Me: Oh yeah, like what?
Rockstar: <frowns> Pretty sure I got 19 x 19 wrong.
Me: (?? He’s had harder on ixl..) Why?
Rockstar: No paper and we were timed. I just ran out of time.
Me: Oh, I’m guessing it was one of those exercises where you do as many questions as you can in a given time… Were you talking in class though?
Rockstar: <snorts> ‘Course not, there was a girl next to me.
<thoughtful pause> Oh, and there were lotsa questions like whether I’m happy in school, stuff like that. I only selected “happy”. Not “very happy”.
Me: Why, because you think there’s too much work at school?
Rockstar: No, because I lost at (playing) Bey Blades today.
And the Miss didn’t exactly say anything, but this is her two cents:

ps: The very real reason she’s doing that however is because she’s decided to throw a curve ball this day. Y’know every none-too-seldom when things are ho-hum we have to refuse to move, hide in corners, holler if anyone tries to pick her up, and – no – don’t you dare – NO LYING ON THAT FL – why, of course she must. There.
The Rockstars are such a joy to parent (parent as in verb). Look at Rockstar’s delightful answers to your questions. Not happy but he did not clarify in the paper that he is not not happy with school but not happy with losing at games during free play, hahaha! The stats that the school is collecting will be skewed by this answer of his! 😀
And Miss Rockstar – she looks so zen lying there with her backpack still on her back. What a gem – must keep this photo for her to show her children, hahaha. How long did she stay on the floor and which floor is this by the way?

Thanks for the birthday wishes 🙂 Miss alternated between being on the floor and behind a very breakable (probably expensive) flower vase in the lobby that was twice her height. Also some tragic rushing between corners and behind different vases. I love how this job makes my heart muscles so buff. I think she was like that 25 mins. So not that long, considering she generally has stamina for much longer (they both do)… That floor is the lobby of our building,,, technically relatively clean since there are quite a few cleaners, but honestly later on a few mum friends were pretty horrified (sheepish)
Ah, I would have a heart attack especially when she is near the very breakable expensive vase. Did any of the mums try to get her to stop?
