Friday. Self-explanatory.

*speechless"

*ditto*

1) Seriously awesome 3D pencil drawings.

2) More Halloween costumes for animals.

Someone call the SPCA. This dog made a grammatical mistake.

3) New meaning to the phrase “updating your resume”

Dis Is Google Search Is A Resume

(Note what you type to get the result!)

4) Toddler-shaming a no-no, dog-shaming just fine?

Wow I Use The Term "Self Explanatory" A Lot, This Post

5) 12 really creepy new species.

Dis Is Not The Creepiest. If you visit the page you will see the creepiest. And why I didn't put it on the blog.

6) Unusual ways to honor the dead.

Dead Cat Turned Into Remote Control Helicopter (Ok, not so self-explanatory)

But this one brought a lump to my throat:

Dog sleeps next to owners grave every night for 6 years

I’d like to end with a happy/ funny pic but I couldn’t top this dog.

But did you know:

7) When locating alligators with low lights to spot their eyes, the distance between lights (i.e. their eyes) tells you how large they are?

Terminalligator

And one more for the weekend:

So it is Friday again! It snake creature is creepy. The dog reminds me of the Hachiko tale and also “Nankyoku Monogatari” – a movie about 15 dogs left behind in a South Pole expedition.

Hehehe, do you know of anyone with house cicaks as pets? Not me. ;p

May all of us have a good weekend!

Yeah I couldn’t look at the snake without wincing… I didn’t even want to watch the husky expedition one, too cringe-worthy. But then I watch little tv/ movies except to accompany Kings occasionally…

Andy at Sengkang Babies la… left a message on the blog saying his only pets are the cicaks…

Hope it’s been good… We are hoping to celebrate Halloween a bit later today…

Tell me, Princess, how do you go about finding these pictures? Could Kings be the real creative brain behind all the Rockstar posts?

Rather than searching for the appropriate place to post the following comments, I will just post it here for convenience:

Can JD compete with these dogs?

The dog show & competition took place last year. I will attending Discover Dogs 2012 London in 2 weeks.

    • Aileen says:

Not Flyball but Agility yes – JD competed from Intermediate to Advanced level in HK before the Rockstars were born. I did the majority of training, instructors training ME to train the dog, which we did because she was painfully shy and used to hide behind furniture and whimper (not to mention she “speaks” English, whereas the instructors speak Cantonese :D). She rarely competes at Basic levels because she gets beat out too easily by much faster dogs. She is on the slow-moving side for a border collie – however that comes in handy especially at Advanced level when the course is complicated because it keeps her from making many mistakes.

She retains most of what she learned, but we haven’t gone for competitions since the kids were born because it’s not very easy to keep little kids or even a baby occupied there for the entire day of event. JD doesn’t do as well for indoor competitions (too much noise bouncing off the walls, she is after all a “reformed” nervous dog), and the outdoor ones mean either lotsa bugs or sometimes when it’s really cold….
