1) When someone is being abusive, the best revenge you can have is to have a great day.
(Oh, and smiling sweetly usually infuriates them even more)
2) When speaking rudely/ other bad behavior is not rewarded (i.e. perpetrator doesn’t get what he/she wants by being mean), he/she often learns to speak softer/ behave better
Don’t stomp back…. tickle! (i.e. come up with something more satisfying that won’t get you in as much trouble…)
Doesn’t stick-up-your-butt Mr Grumpy look ridiculous being tickled?
(Oh, and it pays to have friends in the right places – Mr Tickle, in this case)
3) Wearing color can literally brighten up your whole day…
You’ll look better too – see?
4) Pride goes before a fall…
See? (And people might even be happier about it than they otherwise would be)
5) Sometimes if you can’t get the results you want from your child/ co-worker/ family member…
A change in communication style may be all that’s needed
You might even be amazed at the difference in results if you put things in a way Mr Muddle can understand or relate to…..
(Y-eah otherwise they’re just jerks pretending to muddle. Stay away from them where possible.)
7) People who go through life whining and grumbling about everything may never realize…..
How everyone else views them.
(They are their own worst enemy.)
Very useful life lessons indeed!
If I were still at work I’d have assigned Mr Men nicknames to the people who annoyed me… Except if I were still at work I wouldn’t have been OD-ing on Mr Men 😛
I understand the OD part. I did not have these books when I was a child and now I drool over the complete box set of Mr Men and Little Miss.
