Me: (over the sound, trying to feed her) How come YOU are making that sound? You’re the one not eating! I’M the one who should get to make that sound!
Little Miss: EEEEEEEHHHHHHH
Rockstar: (Playing with Lego) Hap-piness is not to do,

Me: ?! What did you just say?
Rockstar: It’s a new song I learnt in Music. At school.
Rockstar: E-ven when you’re feel-ing really down and grump-y,

Me: “—” (still not sure if Rockstar is mocking me)

Me: Are you trying to tell me there’s something wrong with my attitude?
Rockstar: Wha-at, I’m just playing with my Lego. And singing my new song…

Rockstar: (starts up again) Happ-eee-nessss….

… the Rockstar household now has some kind of anthem for oh-so-fun feedings.

Rockstar must like the song to be able to remember all the lyrics. 🙂 Baby slides? Must be very fun for her to play on the slides to be so happy and laughing cheekily.
He really, really likes his music teacher.. I heard lotsa kids in school do, anyway their music and sports extracurriculars are pretty hot, there are waiting lists or else appointment slots get snapped up real fast, so we just wait our turn until we get to be more familiar with what the school offers.. Also cos it’s quite hard for me to keep up esp with kings gone a lot (this whole week and the weekend too) still, its all I can do to keep up with Rockstar’s immediate stuff…
Little Miss has a sunnier personality than Rockstar did at that age… Sometimes I wonder if it’s partly because I was relatively chill when carrying her whereas when carrying Rockstar I was in super-aggro meetings with legal and compliant departments and stuff.. He’s more bull-headed and determined, she is a bit more easygoing.. Though also hard to tell cos one’s a boy, one’s a girl..
