Rockstar: Mum.

Me: I know.

Little Miss: –LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-

Rockstar: Mum.

Me: I know.

Little Miss: –LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-

Rockstar: Mum.

Me: I. Know.

Little Miss: -LK.

Rockstar: Mum. I think she wants milk.

Me: Really. And where would you get such a crazy idea?

Rockstar: Hee.

Little Miss has a habit of sampling greens from my bowl of hurriedly-scooped dinner most nights I’m scurrying about to bathe and settle her.

Little Miss: Eat.

Me: Yes darling, just a moment I’m getting you some veggies. (If there’s a lot of sauce I wash the greens first – not because I’m freaky about sauces, but because it doesn’t take much for her to empty the entire contents of her stomach. One of the causes appears to be when the food is too tasty. We’ve asked the pediatrician about it several times, it’s apparently nothing more than shallow stomach and very sensitive gag reflex but wow it’s a real nuisance when she does it on your bed or in nice restaurants…)

Little Miss: Eat.

Me: There you go.

Little Miss: <happily> Eat. Tree.

Me: What?? What did you call my – very yummy veggies?

Little Miss: <happily eating> Eat tree! 

<pause>

Me: Ok. So. When we go out to the park and you see green leaves, they are not. Yummy. NOT. Yummy. Do NOT eat the leaves from the trees in the park.

Dis is what Rockstar wore to school last Thursday; they had an elaborate lion dance and various chinese music and dance performances.

Rockstar is wearing a several years-old Zara Kids fedora that Little Miss has had her eye on for awhile (she knows she’s going to inherit it when he outgrows it and that’s going to be soon) and a velvet brocade jacket from Stanley Market. We were going for a vaguely Wong Fei Hong-era look but ended up running for the bus as usual (and after that I forgot about taking a pic completely with Authentic Wong Fei Hong Poses).

This is him the night before, trying on the hat in his pajamas. Little Miss then wore it to have her bedtime bottle.

Speaking of whom……..

This is the Miss’ “Lai See Face.”

I call this gem her “Lai See Face” because she has learnt the fine art of complimenting, which Rockstar is still uh, working on 😀 I was trying on some of my old outfits from my former work life recently, and she decided I needed a “Woww..” Then when we gave her Lai See it was “Oo! <politely impressed face>” Just so….
