Me: How was school, darling?
Rockstar: We were playing “Minecraft Jedi” today. You know my favorite color is blue right, so I wanted a blue light saber, and since I was the only one who wanted blue, I was Luke Skywalker. Then (friend) wanted a red one because he always wants to play the bad guy (which is quite funny because in class he’s like, a really good guy – Tsk) and so he said he was Darth Sidious. And then (other friend) who wanted to hold a green light saber asked “Who am I who am I?”
Rockstar: So I said “Gui-gon Jin” and he said “Yaaaaaayyyyy!!!” And then (still other friend said “What about me what about me?” and I said I only know Gui-gon had a green light saber so then he said, “Then I get to be whoever I want. I think I’ll call myself ‘Max’.” So everyone went “Yaaayyyyyy!! And let’s go fight some bad guys.”
Rockstar: And then I said “But let’s exclude (friend who wants to be bad guy) because he isn’t really bad. So then he said “Yay!!! I don’t really need to fight anyone!!!”
Rockstar: So it was really great cos everyone had the light sabers they wanted and everyone got to be who they wanted and went “Yaayy!”
<pause><me trying to digest that whole thing while Rockstar looks at me expectantly>
Me: S-o….. it was a good day in school. And world leaders should really talk to each other this way, don’t you think, then there wouldn’t be any wars.
Rockstar: Yeah!!! Can you call them?
Me: You want me to call world leaders and suggest they play this way?
Rockstar: Yeah, they’ve got phone numbers or somethin’?
