The sign said “Horses and Unicorns HKD 79.” One of those moments when you glance over at what who is sitting next to you in the cab and think “I was actually once in derivatives?”
The Miss barely glanced at the bubblegum pink unicorn with the iridescent horn, before going for the chestnut. It’s possible she didn’t register it as a horse because everything pink at the moment is a pig.
The Miss is strapped into her portable car booster seat (doubles as my backpack – loves! Several cabbies have enquired after this amazing gadget) on the way home from an excursion to get some swim aids (’tis the season!) where we also ended up purchasing a Horsie that neighs, harrrumphs and makes galloping sounds REALLY LOUDLY when you press a button.
Little known plus side of the brash, tough, seasoned cabbies of Hong Kong: they barely blink when your toddler brandishes the whinnying head of a horse on a pole behind their head rest as they navigate traffic.
Well, that’s quite enough philosophy for us now, don’t you think? GIDDYAP Hong Kong Cabbie! We love how you are so used to noise and rowdiness you don’t go mental on us galloping in your backseat.
May you start your week with fresh Horsies… 😀
Miss Rockstar is sure enjoying her horse ride home. 😀
Yeah she’s been running around the home with that too, amazing the dog didn’t confiscate it, but Rockstar has done so couple times because he thought she wasn’t mindful enough of the dog (for e.g. she turns and fabric-covered end of the stick bumps into JD who is of course herding the horse and toddler)
Good for Rockstar who not only takes care of Miss but takes care of JD too. 🙂
