While I’m reading in the bedroom, Rockstar ambles in.
Rockstar: <innocently> Mum. I need to talk to you. I wanna ask you something.
Me: Yeah?
Rockstar: <still innocently> D’you…. still wanna change helpers?
Me: Wh-y?
Rockstar: We-ll, I was minding my own business, watching Youtube, and (our helper) just closed the laptop. I mean, I was watching that! <puts on show of indignance>
Me: You refused to eat your dinner, didn’t you?
Rockstar: HEE HEE HEE.
Me: Nice try.
Rockstar: Yeah…
Rockstar ambles back out without another word.
Rockstar’s healthy eating kick from school is still going full force, we’re filling in food diaries this week, and he tells me his yoghurt-covered pretzels were tut-tutted over yesterday (rather askance I ask “Did you explain it was yoghurt??) but he’d not said anything and ah well, they’re not easy to find, I only got them the once because he as curious anyways…
All in all he’s been “Not so much fried stuff please” and “Take a photo! I’m eating something healthy! Take a photo!” except I didn’t want to keep inundating the class mailbox with various emailed photos and so here’s a photo 😀
That really looks healthy and nice!!!
Thanks, it’s from a Taiwanese chain called something like “Saint’s Alps,” maybe one day they will open an outlet in Brisbane even!
Wow, Rockstar knows how to use the chopsticks so well!
Hehehe, this mom is so smart to see through Rocstar’s complaint that the helper prevented him from watching youtube and Rockstar EQ is high so he did not even attempt to throw a tantrum.
Well done to the school for instilling good eating habits and to eat healthy into young children.
Thanks i must tell him re chopsticks, he certainly didn’t get that from me my chopstick kungfu is horrible 😛
Yes my mum friends also notice their kids ordering healthier choices at restaurants… it’s really been effective!
